Job description

The Project Manager will oversee projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business. In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, complex issues within area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Assure SAP accurately represents the project plan in regard to product procurement, trading milestones, billing milestones and invoicing milestones.
  • Resolve specification and commercial issues, manage correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinate with staff as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the reporting of the financial performance of the project.
  • Responsible for on-time delivery in accordance with contract.
  • Responsible for project risk issues including receivables, claims, contract changes, margin enhancement, and effective project closeout.
  • Support project team, including partners, through contract reviews to identify & manage risks, monitor financial and operational performance against the agreed timescales, and initiates corrective action where appropriate.
  • Overall project support and responsibility to work with multiple person teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Finance and Services.
  • Deliver on all contract aspects for long term service agreements in place with our customers.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited university
  • 7+ Years’ experience in heavy industry environment
  • 4+years in project management environment
  • Very strong financial analysis capability
  • Given to attention to detail on the financial tracking and reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s in Business Administration
  • Green Belt Certified
  • SAP knowledge and experience
  • Some technical knowledge of product lines and associated systems (MV & LV drives, motors, transformers, E-house, switchgear, and controls)
  • Background in a customer facing Service Delivery or Project Management position
  • Proven Industry or Oil & Gas experience, with technical knowledge of power generation/delivery, metals, industry
  • Highly developed presentation skills and ability to develop clear slides using MS PowerPoint, Exceptional MS Excel capability
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
